Our clinic began as the personal initiative of two veterinarians whose aim is to
strengthen the bond between people and animals through health.

GALA SECANELLA

INTERNAL MEDICINE AND MINIMALLY INVASIVE SURGERY SERVICE

Graduated in Veterinary Medicine at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB).

She obtained her internship in Small Animal Medicine in 2017 at the Hospital Clínic Veterinari of the UAB.

Since then she has focused her activity in the fields of Internal Medicine and Minimally Invasive Surgery, an area in which she has taken theoretical and practical courses, while continuing to develop her work as a professional in different reference hospitals in Barcelona.

In 2020, she obtained a Postgraduate degree in surgery GPCertSAS (General Practitioner Certificate in Small Animal Surgery).

MARTA OLIVELLA

SOFT TISSUE SURGERY AND DERMATOLOGY SERVICE

Graduated in Veterinary Medicine from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), where she completed her studies in 2015.

Since the beginning of her professional career, she has built up a solid experience in soft tissue surgery and dermatology, working in several leading hospitals. For 5 years, she was responsible for the dermatology service, where she consolidated her specialisation.

Throughout her career, she has participated in numerous conferences, courses and maintains both nationally and internationally, expanding her knowledge and her network of contacts in the sector.

She has obtained the Certificate of Small Animal Veterinary Practice in the speciality of Dermatology from ESAVS (European School for Advanced Studies).

She is a member of AVEPA and is part of the GEDA group (Group of Dermatology Specialists of AVEPA), which reflects her commitment to continuous updating and professional development in her field.

ALBERTO YUS

GENERAL VETERINARIAN

Graduated in Veterinary Medicine from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Zaragoza in 2020.

He joined the Erasmus Programme at Cluj Napoca (Romania), and then expanded his knowledge with the Master in Small Companion Animal Clinic in the Hospital Clínico Veterinario de Zaragoza (HVUZ) for 2 years.

Within his training, he has attended conferences and taken courses, with special interest in Internal Medicine and oncology.

Alberto is also responsible and supervisor of the ‘Cat Friendly Clinic’ accreditation of the ISFM (International Society of Feline Medicine).

EDUARD CUMELLES

VETERINARY CARDIOLOGY SERVICE

Degree in Veterinary Medicine from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University Autónoma de Barcelona (2011).

He began his professional career developing his experience in different veterinary centres in Catalonia, with special interest in veterinary cardiology. He obtained the Certificate in Cardiology from the European School Advance Veterinary Studies (GPCertSAS, General Practitioner Certificate in Cardiology).

His constant interest in the speciality has led him to train in the field of vascular, cardiology and respiratory interventional radiology.

He is a member of GECAR (Working Group of Cardiology and Respiratory System of AVEPA), and is currently in the process of accreditation.

ALBERT TARRÉS

TRAUMATOLOGY AND ORTHOPAEDICS DEPARTMENT

Graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona in 2005.

Albert began his professional career working in Catalan hospitals, in the Emergency and Surgery Departments, with a special focus on traumatology.

He has trained with leading specialists, attended workshops, courses and conferences. He has also completed specific training related to the pathology associated with the anterior cruciate ligament, complex fractures of the pelvis, the use of locked plates in the feline clinic, general orthopaedics and even minimally invasive endoscopy.

ÁLVARO RUEDA

OPHTHALMOLOGY SERVICE

Graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the Universidad Autonóma de Barcelona (2015).

He obtained the Internship in Small Animal Medicine in 2017 at the Hospital Clínic Veterinari of the UAB and has gained experience in his professional career working in different hospitals in Cataluña. Here he increased his interest and dedication to veterinary Ophthalmology. He obtained the Certificate in Veterinary Ophthalmology from the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona.

He is currently in the process of accreditation for FTA (Ophthalmology Specialty Group of AVEPA), with constant training courses and attendance at conferences of the specialty. Some of the surgeries he offers include corneal transplants, glaucoma surgery and cataract resolution.

GABRIELA TAMI

FELINE BEHAVIOURAL MEDICINE SERVICE

Graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Perugia.

She obtained a Master’s degree in Applied Animal Behaviour and Animal Welfare at the University of Edinburgh, and a PhD in Pathophysiology and Companion Animal Medicine in Perugia.

She has participated in several behavioural research projects and is the author of various publications in international journals. She is also active in teaching future veterinary assistants and educators, as well as veterinarians and animal shelter staff.

Within her speciality, she has taken numerous courses and attended national and international conferences, and is also a member of GEMCA (AVEPA Animal Behavioural Medicine Specialty Group).

FERRAN PAHISA

CANINE BEHAVIOURAL MEDICINE SERVICE

Graduated in Veterinary Medicine from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona.

He obtained a Master’s Degree in Companion Animal Ethology from the UAB.

His professional career includes numerous courses and seminars in this speciality. As well as this, he dedicates part of his work to the training of veterinary assistants.

LAURA ALMERO

VETERINARY ASSISTANT

Qualified as a veterinary assistant-technician in 2016.

Since 2016 she has developed her professional experience in different clinics in Barcelona, carrying out tasks of reception and customer service, consultation support, diagnostic imaging tests (radiography) and clinical analysis.

She has completed different courses such as anaesthesia, nutrition, animal welfare and stress reduction in the clinic, radiodiagnosis and communication. She is interested in preventive medicine in puppies, behavioural medicine and grief support.

RAQUEL LARROSA

VETERINARY ASSISTANT

She qualified as a veterinary assistant-technician in 2015.

She has the experience of having developed her skills in different veterinary clinics and hospitals, performing reception and customer service tasks, emergency triage, operating room and anaesthesia support, consultations, diagnostic imaging and ICU.

Always in constant training, she has focused her interest in fields related to feline nutrition, ICU and anaesthesia in dogs and cats.

She has attended national conferences for veterinary technical assistants.

JAVIER NAVARRO

CANINE AND FELINE GROOMING SERVICE

With more than 30 years’ of experience in the field of canine and feline hairdressing, his career began in Bilbao, where he specialised in different haircuts depending on the species and breed.

He has participated in numerous canine and feline styling competitions and beauty shows, as well as teaching future generations of canine and feline stylists.

His training never ceases, and he is constantly taking national and international courses.
